There Is No Reason For Expensive Face Creams – Try Urine Instead?

If you have struggled with skin problems, you know what you are willing to do for acne free skin. We will walk the seven corners of the Earth just to find the miracle treatment that has alluded us. There are women in the United Kingdom who feel as though they may have found their own fountain of youth in the form of urine. Is this a treatment you would be willing to undergo to remove blemishes from your skin?

The results so far have been rather promising, as urine manages to remove blemishes and spots at an incredible speed. You would have to imagine that there have to be some results as the average woman is not going to sit around the house covering her face in urine! Neal Schultz, M.D., a New York City dermatologist an expert in  this field was asked his opinion on this treatment. Urine is composed of 95 percent water after that urea is the next highest concentration. It is his understanding that urea acts as an exfoliant and believes this is why it has recently caught on as a skin-care product.

If you feel like cashing in on the pee craze it has been found to be an extraordinary moisturizer and beneficial in removing calluses. Urea is known as a keratolytic, which simply means it has the ability to dissolve the keratin found in the outer layer of the skin. However, urea is also a humectant, giving it the ability to add essential water to the skin. If you sit to think about it urine is one of the best skin care products around. It has the ability to exfoliate dry skin and will retain the water, thus improving hydration. However, Schultz was quick to state that urine contains a very small amount of urea, the results you would achieve would be minimal. Manufactured creams include between a 10-15 percent of urea, while urine it is less than 5 percent.

If you are looking for a natural remedy, but the thought of peeing on your face isn’t your cup of tea, think of tea-tree oil, apple cider vinegar, and green tea. These are all excellent remedies that might not turn your stomach so greatly as pee.

We all get desperate and willing to do whatever it takes to get beautiful skin, however, it looks like urine is just not worth it. You are simply going to gross yourself out, possibly get sick, and it is not effective as creams containing urea.  Leave pee in the toilet where it belongs and find a better alternative for your face.

Banish Evil Spider Veins Now

Any woman who has spider veins marring the look of her legs will tell you that they are the bane of existence. Cellulite is no fun, either, but it seems that woman with spider veins top 55 percent of the United States’ population, so it is as much a problem as cellulite is. The good news is, however, that there are solutions for banishing spider veins.

The Life Choices That Add Up To Spider Veins

Heredity, not life choices, has one of the biggest influences on whether a woman will develop thin, twisting, turning blue veins along her legs. If a woman’s mother had spider veins, there is a good chance she will, too. However, life choices also increase the risk of developing spider veins.

According to Dr. Luis Navarro of New York City’s Vein Treatment Center, smoking and obesity contribute the most to spider veins. Next to these, birth control pills and hormonal birth control products can also contribute to spider veins.

Smoking can affect vein health as it puts a strain on a person’s blood pressure, among other things. Obesity puts pressure on the circulation system, making spider veins more likely. As for birth control pills and products, these products alter a woman’s hormones.

The weakening of hormones speeds up the formation spider veins. Weakened hormones also play a role in the development of varicose veins, which can be even more serious to a woman’s health as she ages.

How To Prevent Spider Veins

There are not many things that you can do to prevent spider veins. You cannot alter your hereditary makeup, so if you are destined for spider veins, you will get them.

However, any exercise that helps with circulation like running or jogging will help keep veins from forming as much as they otherwise might without exercise.

Spider Vein Treatment Options

Sclerotherapy is one of the most effective treatments for spider veins. Dr. Navarro explains that this treatment is done by injecting a combination of salt, fatty acids and glycerin into each vein. This solution makes the vein collapse and this process allows the blood to flow back into the blood stream safely.

This process can be done without any downtime. It can cause bruising in some women, but it typically clears up in about a week or two.

Another version of this is cryo-sclerotherapy. This is a painless version of the treatment above and it involves blasting cold air onto the skin and numbing it. There is also a foam sclerotherapy version. This foam clings onto the vein wall but takes weeks for results to be seen. This treatment works well on large veins, according to Navarro.

The Cost Of Treatments

The average treatment will take two or four sessions and will also require a follow-up visit to your doctor. Treatments can cost about $500 or $1,000 each.

These treatments may be pricey, but there are very little side effects and the spider veins begin going away as soon as the treatments are completed. Spider veins may return, but this is only if a person is subject to their genetic development.

More affordable at-home treatments are available to rid spider veins from the legs. Health food stores offer horse chestnut seed extract. This will help reduce swelling and redness. This supplement will not get rid of the veins, however, according to Dr. Navarro. Other self-treatment options include leg makeup and self-tanning products.
